Today the kids went back to school after a nice long break for the holidays. Gabe claimed he wasn't ready to go back to school, but I heard him up bright and early brushing his teeth and getting himself dressed without any prompting at 7:15am.
The kids had plenty of time together over the past two weeks. They did lots of craft projects this week. They loved making these sun catchers that Grace got for Christmas.
They also took their time and painted these little flower pots.
One day we made the garage into a racetrack with obstacles and played with some remote control cars.
Another day they were my sous chefs and prepped all of the veggies for little pot pies.
Grace may or may not have eaten this carrot before we could cut it up for dinner.
I also enjoyed the long break from running the kids to and from their activities and school and I was able to get the house put back together. I decided to change things up a bit and brought up a table I had in the basement and rearranged the living room furniture.
Moving the couch opened up the space in front of the window enough to make a window seat. I'm actually surprised at how much the kids love the space. Grace even wanted to pose for a picture to show everyone how much she likes it!
