Holiday Project Recap

Here is a little recap of the projects I was able to complete over the past month or so. Most of these projects were inspired by fellow bloggers, pinterest, and a couple of them are my own creations. Some of these you will have seen already but there are a few that I have kept hidden until after Christmas.
1. Owl Pillow - I made this cute little owl with fabric scraps I had lying around. It matches the bedding in Grace's room2. Sweater Refashion - I cut an old sweater apart and made a new sweater dress for Grace.
3. Our version of the "Elf on the Shelf" - the kids were so attached to him and the game that they cried when he returned to Santa at Christmas.
4. Superman Cape - I completed 3 of these and gave them out to my superhero-loving nephews and we kept one for pretend play at home.
5. Crocheted Scarf - Grace requested this hot pink scarf.
6. Crayon Caddies - I made a total of 7 of these. We kept a couple and gave the rest as Christmas presents.
7. Curled Ribbon Hair Bows - I made a total of 17 hairs bows with the $7 worth of ribbon I bought. We've already made good use of them too. Many of the extras will be given away with birthday presents and such.
8. Market Skirt - This was fun to make and I'm excited to see it on Grace this summer.
9. Drawstring Fishy Bag - This project was super fun and I really enjoyed Grace's reaction when I gave it to her. I will be making more of these!
10. Matching dresses - Grace received one of these and her little cousin received the second one.
11. Polka Dot Apron for my friend Eva - This one was pretty straightforward, it was the only project I made this year that came from a real pattern. It was also fun to give it to my friend - she had such a great reaction!
12. Explorer Bags - I made 10 explorer bags to use as favors at Gabe's birthday this year. The kids loved that they were personalized and they were super inexpensive since I found the shoulder strap material at Goodwill for $1.
13. Quilted Christmas Stockings - I loved this project. I learned a lot and I had fun piecing the quilted sections. I'll work on personalizing them next year!
14. Cubs blanket (with matching pillow) - made for a friend's son
15. Baby blanket for my niece - I was able to piece most of it in one day and I used a lot of the leftover fabric from the dresses I made earlier in the month.
