We had lots of fun on New Year's Eve. This was the first year that the kids stayed awake and they were sure to make the most of it. We had a nice dinner followed by lots of board games and card games. Then the kids busted out the remote control cars they got for Christmas. Later we made a fire and roasted marshmallows while playing a traditional Arab New Year guessing game. Then we celebrated with the East Coast and we watched the ball drop at 11pm our time. Afterwards the kids wanted to have a dance party...somehow Grace ended up in her bathing suit dancing the night away?!? We all celebrated again at midnight central time and kept dancing until 12:30am and then we finally headed up to bed.
