Elliot the Elephant Comes for a Visit

Friday Gabe brought home little friend from school who gets to sleepover at our house. Apparently this cute little elephant, Elliot, travels from house to house on the weekends and goes on fun adventures with each student in Gabe's class. The students have to photograph the elephants escapades and then write an entry in Elliot's travel journal.
We made waffles this morning and we found out that Elliot likes peanut butter on his waffles. He also likes milk, he even slurps it up with his trunk...quite noisy!!
After breakfast the kids played games with Elliot. He's pretty good at Sorry, but I think he cheats!
We took a little break to make a fire in the fireplace. Elliot liked that but we had to watch him because he kept getting too close to the fire. I'm pretty sure he's flammable...that could turn out pretty badly!Later we had a photo shoot. As you can tell from above, Elliot is pretty photogenic. We think he should check out modeling for Build-a-Bear after his stint as a traveler blogger.
Speaking of photo shoots, the kids and I worked on their Valentine cards. Gabe and I did a similar idea last year, but this year we did the updated version that is more fitting for a big time Kindergartner.
He did a terrific job posing and was really into this idea. It was a fun time. He wanted more than one pose to hand out, so we came up with these two similar but different cards.Grace opted for the original pose we used last year. More girlie and respectable. But after she saw Gabe's she decided to get silly too.How funny. They can't wait to hand them out...we only have to wait 2 weeks...ha! You never know sometimes these things take forever to get right and other times they work straight out of the gate...lucky for me it was the latter this time!
